SkiEr ("the App") is developed by Howard Ayris. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data. By default, your workout data stays on your device. We do not operate user accounts, advertising systems, analytics tracking, or a workout data storage service.
SkiEr collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:
If you grant permission, SkiEr can read your date of birth, sex, and weight from Apple Health to personalise your experience, and can save workout data to Apple Health. This data is handled entirely by Apple's HealthKit framework and never leaves your device or is transmitted to any server.
SkiEr uses Bluetooth to connect to your Concept2 PM5 monitor. Bluetooth data (workout metrics) is processed in real time on your device and is not transmitted externally.
If you choose to connect your Strava account, workout summaries are uploaded to Strava via their official API. This is entirely optional and can be disconnected at any time in Settings.
For security, Strava token exchange and token refresh requests are routed through a Cloudflare Worker controlled by the developer. This keeps the Strava client secret out of the app. The Worker forwards token requests to Strava and returns Strava's response to the app. We do not store your Strava tokens, workout history, or uploaded workout summaries on our own server.
Once a workout is uploaded to Strava, Strava's own privacy policy and account settings apply. Please refer to Strava's Privacy Policy for how they handle your data.
If you use Game Center leaderboards, your scores are handled by Apple's GameKit framework according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
SkiEr does not collect analytics, use tracking pixels, or share any data with third-party advertising networks. There are no ads in the App.
Workout history, training progress, achievements, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and UserDefaults. If you delete the App, locally stored data is permanently removed.
Deleting local data from SkiEr does not automatically delete data already written to Apple Health, submitted to Game Center, or uploaded to Strava. Manage or delete that data in those services directly.
SkiEr is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
